Tamiya is proud to announce its new Expert Built Sport (XBS) series of Ready-to-Run R/C models. This series has been developed with three main goals in mind:

Simplicity
Targeting a larger demographic of R/C users
Scope for individual customization
The TT-01 chassis features a bathtub frame with the R/C mechanisms and battery located low and flat for excellent balance and low centre of gravity. 4-wheel double wishbone suspension and front/rear differential gears provide smooth handling performance. Stylish wheels equipped with racing radial tires ensure plenty of grip for on-road racing.

The XBS chassis is a streamlined version of the popular TT-01 Type-E Chassis, and is therefore compatible with a wide range of Option Parts for customization.

The Celica name is one of the most established names in rally sports. The 1997 season saw the entry of the Celica in the hands of non-works teams. Its sleek styling and distinctive, irregularly shaped four headlights made it stand out from other rally cars.

This model is finished in the team Castrol livery as driven by Freddy Loiz in the 1997 Monte Carlo rally.
